The returned product(s) must be in the original packaging, safety wrapped, undamaged and unworn. This means that the item(s) must be safely packed in a carton box for protection during transport, possibly the same carton used to ship to you as a customer.

LG air conditioners in Australia usually come with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty covering parts and labour for most split and ducted systems. 

Standard Warranty Period

  • High-wall split systems: 5 years parts and labour
  • Cassette split systems: 5 years parts and labour
  • Ducted systems: 5 years parts and labour
  • Multi-split systems: 5 years parts and labour
  • Portable or window units: 2 years parts and labour 

Compressor Warranty

Many LG split systems also include:

  • Extra 5-year limited warranty on the compressor (parts only).
  • Labour, refrigerant, and consumables are usually not included after the main 5-year period. 

What the Warranty Covers

  • Manufacturing defects in the unit
  • Replacement of faulty parts
  • Labour to repair faults by an LG authorised technician. 

What It Does NOT Cover

Typical exclusions include:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Lack of maintenance (dirty filters, blocked coils)
  • Power surges or electrical faults
